Planning hikes this summer? Have some experience but looking for a refresher? Join Multicultural Trail Network and volunteer leaders from Come Hike With Me Calgary for a beginner-friendly outdoor workshop designed to help you feel more confident, prepared, and safe on the trail.
This event is intended for BIPOC individuals, newcomers, and those facing financial barriers who are interested in learning the fundamentals of hiking in Alberta's outdoors. Through a guided 3.5 km walk in Nose Hill Park in Calgary, participants will experience a variety of trail surfaces - including paved pathways, gravel trails, and rolling hills - while learning practical skills that can be applied to future hikes in the mountains and beyond.
Registrants should be expected to bring water and wear proper hiking footwear.
Thanks to support & funding from ParticipACTION’s 2026 Community Challenge, we're working to make outdoor recreation more accessible for all - while welcoming everyone to explore the outdoors together.
